In my lab I only use certificates issued from my own CA so I don’t have to buy a certificate. If you’re getting certificates for your Exchange 2007/2010 lab, you should use use the New-ExchangeCertificate cmdlet for 2007 or 2010. In 2010 there’s a Exchange Certificate Wizard that will make your life much easier. And if that’s not enough, Digicert has created a great webtool for it.
